Related to the exhibition Paradigma Plagwitz II a newly created open call will take place first time. It addresses both local and international artists who once have lived in Leipzig and have a connection to the cityscape. The prize will be given to professional artists only. It is open to all media. It will be given on October 9th 2015 during the opening of the exhibition Paradigma Plagwitz II. Three artists will be selected by a jury and given 2.000,- € to produce a piece about the neighborhood Plagwitz. The work will be shown one year after in the following exhibition. Two publications will first present the awardees and one year after the new works created. These new works will be exhibited in the next exhibition October 2016 and then will be donated to the States Collection Dresden.
