Durch die Verwendung von \u00d6sen, Seilen und Symbolen wie Stacheldraht, Ketten und Maschendrahtz\u00e4unen schafft Ybarra ein Gef\u00fchl von Urbanit\u00e4t, das an die Street-Skating-Kultur und die vom Punk inspirierte Mode erinnert. Die Verwendung verletzlicher, pers\u00f6nlicher Inhalte in Verbindung mit rauen, vermeintlich m\u00e4nnlichen Materialien wie Metall, Beton und Sperrholz verdeutlicht die Idee der Aufrechterhaltung und des Schutzes einer emotionalen H\u00e4rte in einer frauenfeindlichen Umgebung.
