Dr Darryn Ansted is the Head of Painting in the School of Art and Design at Curtin University. He has exhibited internationally in over 30 projects and has taught art studio practice and art history\/theory at the University of Western Australia and Curtin University at the undergraduate and postgraduate level. His practice involves experimentation with colour, perception, representation and painting\u2019s relationship to ethics and society. He is particularly interested in both the history and contemporary potential of modernist strategies and processes.
