His art practice has centered on ideas of the reflective self within a complex and amorphous society. He has worked through a long-standing interest in painting, but also works through video, drawing, installation and collage. And for many years he has also focused on the complementary relationships of artist, writer and curator. Westwood has been included in group and individual exhibitions in public and commercial galleries in Australia and overseas.
