She grew up in the Southern &#8216;bible belt,&#8217; then studied at the Savannah College of Art and Design, and expects to earn her MFA from the New York Academy of Art in 2016, for which she has received the President&#8217;s Scholarship, the David Kratz and Gregory Unis Scholarship, as well and the Francis and Leslie Posey Award. Charlotte&#8217;s work appears in the 86th issue of New American Paintings, as well as the 2014 Aesthetica Art Prize Anthology (UK), among others. Her work is exhibited at Allouche Gallery in Manhattan and also appears in the Allouche Collection alongside key historical figures such as Jean-Michel Basquiat and Andy Warhol. She participated in the Triangle Arts Association Workshop in Dumbo in 2012 and as a fellow at the Vermont Studio Center in 2010, as well as the Summer 2015 Leipzig International Art Programme with sponsorship from NYAA. Charlotte is best known for her drawings and paintings of Baroque-inflected forms that she derives from the romantic twists of sheep&#8217;s wool, combined often with human and animal form in explosive compositions.
