Josephine Hellen Franklyn<\/a> erhielt das erste Stipendium des Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology University<\/em> (RMIT) f\u00fcr einen dreimonatigen Gastaufenthalt in der K\u00fcnstlerresidez LIA Leipzig International Art Programme, begleitet von einer Einzelausstellung in der Australischen Botschaft in Berlin.<\/p>\n

Ihre Installationen schaffen minimalistische Erz\u00e4hlweisen mit skulpturalen, gefundenen Objekten, Botanischem und Allt\u00e4glichem, wie Zeitschriften, Ausschnitten, Zufallsaufnahmen. Sie wird angetrieben von der Frage, wie wir Dinge verstehen und beurteilen, wenn diese ihre Komfortzone verlassen haben, aus ihrer gewohnten Umgebung, ihrem Ursprung oder Kontext heraustreten.<\/p>\n

Josephine Hellen re-kontextualisiert ihre Objekte und wirft ein neues Licht auf diese, indem sie den Besucher einl\u00e4dt, die Beziehungen und Geschichten zwischen den individuellen Teilen ihrer Installationen neu zu betrachten und ebenso zu reflektieren an welche sozialen Bedingungen diese Beziehungen und Erz\u00e4hlungen gekn\u00fcpft sind.<\/p>\n
