The Goethe-Institut & LIA Declare the Prize Winners of the first “Nordic-Leipzig” artist grant
\n<\/span><\/h3>\n

For the first time, the Goethe-Institut<\/em><\/a>, in cooperation with LIA Leipzig International Art Programme<\/em>, offer artists from the Nordic countries Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden a residency grant at Leipziger Baumwollspinnerei<\/em><\/a>. The stipend includes an 80m\u00b2 furnished studio to live and work in for three-months and a one-time payment of 500\u20ac towards travel costs and material. Furthermore, the grant provides participation in a group show during one of the Gallery Tours of Spinnerei Leipzig. The grant covers also full payment for the production of one print edition at the artist workshop and\u00a0etching studio Atelier f\u00fcr Radierung Maria und Vlado Ondrej<\/em><\/a>. This project aims at a Northern European print edition being produced by the six awardees to become part of a traveling exhibition.We were very thankful for the high interest the Nordic-Leipzig-Call caused. We received over 100 applications and the jury had to make a hard choice. We hereby announce the six chosen artists that will come to Leipzig during the two three-months-terms:<\/strong><\/p>\n

We’re looking forward to this cooperation very much and wish all artists a great experience and working period in Leipzig, Germany! Our congratulation to all awardees! All seven artists will develope own specific projects, dealing with various topics and media, connected to Leipzig in one way or the other.<\/p>\n
