Sie hat an der Iceland University of the Arts in Reykjavik und am Sandberg Instituut in Amsterdam studiert.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;\">In ihrer Arbeit kombiniert sie Elemente aus Audio, Video, Performance, Skulptur, Zeichnung und Text, um transiente konzeptuelle Konstruktionen zu erstellen, die Themen wie kulturelle Identit\u00e4t, Natur, Tapferkeit und Angst untersuchen. Ihre aktuellen Sorgen drehen sich um die Zerst\u00f6rung der nat\u00fcrlichen Welt, die Zerst\u00f6rung des Lebensraums und das rasche Aussterben nichtmenschlicher Arten und Erdenwesen.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;\">W\u00e4hrend ihres Aufenthalts in Leipzig konzentriert sich Hauksd\u00f3ttir auf ihr laufendes Projekt Borderline Human | Milk River Valley, ein Versuch, diese Bedenken auszur\u00e4umen. Borderline Human ist ein Forschungsprojekt in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Lichen Lab und dem Barrett-Henzi Lab in Kanada. F\u00fcr ihre Recherchen reiste Hauksd\u00f3ttir mit einem Team von Tierverhaltensspezialisten in die Gro\u00dfe Karoo in S\u00fcdafrika, um Beobachtungen, Interviews, Video- und Audioaufnahmen und Zeichnungen von wilden Vervet-Affentruppen zu sammeln, die im Samara-Wildreservat leben.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;\">Sie arbeitet an einer Installation und einer Tanz- \/ Vorlesungsperformance, die von der Tanztheoretikerin Noa Eshkol und der s\u00fcdafrikanischen Anw\u00e4ltin, Naturforscherin, Dichterin und Schriftstellerin Eug\u00e8ne N.
