The five winners of the first Pacific-Leipzig artist grant for Malaysia, Myanmar, New Zealand, Thailand and Vietnam have been selected!<\/strong>
\n<\/span><\/h4>\n

In 2020, LIA starts the new cooperation project with the Goethe-Institut in Southeast Asia “Pacific-Leipzig”.<\/span> About 200 artists had applied for the open call for artists from Malaysia, Myanmar, New Zealand, Thailand and Vietnam. The jury has chosen the five winners, in cooperation with the Goethe Institutes in the respective countries.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Pacific-Leipzig Residency Grant<\/h4>\n

The five artists will receive each a scholarship for a three-month-stay in a LIA studio as well as for material and travel costs. The stay is spread over two periods in 2020:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Residency period I (March – May 2020): Malaysia, Myanmar, South Vietnam<\/span><\/strong>
\nResidency period II (August – October 2020): New Zealand, Thailand<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n
