“In meiner Malpraxis untersuche ich die Auswirkungen von Geschichte und Erinnerung auf kollektiver Ebene. Ich benutze das Medium der Malerei, um eine neue Struktur f\u00fcr die Reflexion von Erinnerung und die Wirkung von Bildern auf die Art und Weise, wie Erinnerung konzipiert wird, aufzubauen. In meinen Gem\u00e4lden werden menschliche Figuren brutal aus ihrer Umgebung herausgeschnitten, Portr\u00e4ts werden aus gesammelten Bildern gebildet, und die Oberfl\u00e4che eines Gem\u00e4ldes wird zur Fassade. Durch die Arbeit mit diesen verschiedenen Schichten stelle ich die Komplexit\u00e4t des Realen im Zeitalter der hergestellten Kopien in Frage. Bestimmte Bilder bleiben uns durch die Zeit erhalten und werden zu Ikonen im kollektiven Ged\u00e4chtnis. Ich ziehe Parallelen und stelle Gegen\u00fcberstellungen her, zwischen historischen Tatsachen \u00fcber den Krieg und der Vorstellung meiner Familiengeschichte, historischen Traumata und zeitgen\u00f6ssischen Problemen der Vertrauensw\u00fcrdigkeit und des Wertes von Bildern.<\/p>\n

Zurzeit arbeite ich an einer Serie mit dem Titel ‘DEEP FAMILY’, in der ich mit dem Designer Casper Schipper und k\u00fcnstlicher Intelligenz zusammenarbeite, um die Art und Weise, wie wir Familie und Erinnerung im Licht der neuen Technologie wahrnehmen, zu visualisieren.”<\/p>\n
