Inspired by the historic city of Leipzig and its industrial past, he produced a large body of work that sought to capture something of the essential contemporary experience through the aesthetic lens of a city reinventing itself. Chaotic abstractions and energetic installations paid testament to the visual and cultural inspiration Clague found in the streets of Leipzig.
