Er stellt Fragen nach der Bedeutung k\u00fcnstlerischer Arbeit in der aktuellen kulturellen und vor allem politischen Situation. W\u00e4hrend seines Studiums durchlief er eine Reihe von Praktika in verschiedenen Schulen und Ateliers. Zurzeit befindet er sich im Abschlussjahr an der Akademie der bildenden K\u00fcnste in Prag im Atelier von Josef Bolf, Jakub Ho\u0161ek und Nik Timkov\u00e1. Er arbeitet meist mit bewussten Bez\u00fcgen selbstkritisch und provokativ auf den eigenen k\u00fcnstlerischen Hinterhof zielend. Altmans Kunstproduktion mag formal sehr vielf\u00e4ltig erscheinen, er geht frei mit verschiedenen Medien um, die immer von der urspr\u00fcnglichen Idee oder als Anpassung an seine aktuelle Umgebung bestimmt sind. Das h\u00e4ufigste Ergebnis seiner Arbeit sind Installationen, die aus verschiedenen Objekten, Videos, Gem\u00e4lden oder Performances in einem komplexen Schema bestehen.
