Farnaz Dadfar wurde in Teheran geboren. Sie ist in Gadigal Country (Sydney) lebende K\u00fcnstlerin arbeitet mit den Medien Installation, Text, Malerei und Video, um kulturelle Identit\u00e4t und postkoloniale Themen zu untersuchen. Ausgehend von ihren pers\u00f6nlichen Erz\u00e4hlungen erforscht Dadfar das Konzept der sprachlichen Diaspora und des Flaneurs durch die Brille von Vertreibung und Migration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dadfar hat in Galerien und Museen im Iran, in Australien und Indonesien ausgestellt, darunter das Saba Cultural Artistic Institute Teheran, das QUT Art Museum Brisbane, Linden New Art Melbourne und das Sarang Building Yogyakarta. Sie hat zahlreiche Preise erhalten, darunter das Fauvette Loureiro Memorial Scholarship – SCA Travel, den Anne Runhardt Art Award Notfair, das University of Sydney RTP Scholarship, den David Richards Drawing Award und den VCA Galloway Lawson Prize.
