lives and works in Brisbane, Australia. Dunlop about his work: "I paint with a genuine awareness that the medium has a magnificent (and at times clichéd) history. My paintings work with and respect this tradition. But they also subvert it. Works such as The Industrialist combine the archetypes of the still life, the portrait and the landscape. They are the result of a melding of traditional western genres into single works. I see the narrative in this painting as playful and suggestive of folly. In essence all of my works are an attempt to reinforce the notion that painting is still a possibility in the 21sy century."
