"Abnormal results" examines the life and death of systems existing, in a cellular level, within an organism. The artist creates a series that proliferate as they are recomposed a new in a play of various points of view. The dynamics Maess manages to condense on a piece of paper is the transformation of tissues, blood, medical data sets, scanning electron micrograph images of cell processes and letters into dramatic explosion.

Maess (b.1982,Warsaw) graduated with a Master’s Degree from the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. In 2005 she received a scholarship to attend the Escola Superior de Artes e Design in Porto Portugal. Later she had ex­hibitions in Plumba Contemporary Art, Porto, Por­tugal (2006), Residencia Corazon, La Plata, Buenos Aires, Ar­gentina (2008), Able Gallery, Berlin, Germany (2009) and Museum Santa Cecilia in Rome (2010).Center of Contemporary Art in Warsaw.(2010) Program Gallery Warsaw (2011) Twilightzone Gallery,Tournai Belgium (2012), Wroclaw Contemporary Museum (2013),Galeria Miejska Arsenał,(2014) and Galeria Sztuki Współczesnej BWA Sokół (on view)In 2012 Maess was nominated to Grand Prix Foire Internationale du Dessin in Paris( FID PRIZE) and was among the finalists list of the International Art Award in Vienna (2013).
