was born in 1983 in Sweden. She received a bachelor’s degree in 2006 in Fine Art Photography at Glasgow School of Art with honour. Her works were shown in exhibitions in Berlin, Oslo and Leipzig.

“During the residency at LIA my aim is to work with and complete a photographic project titled „One for every wish“. The project has its base within literature and daydreaming from which visual stimulation is created and then transformed into a photograph or a piece of text. „One for every wish“ is the first part in a series of three, I have loosely based the project on PO Enqvist book „Blanche and Marie“ in which Blanche has three question books, one dealing with life, one with love and one with death. In these books every page starts with a question and that is what makes the story evolve, this method also exist in my work where each image is the result of a question or a wish. Extensive reading is the corner stone of the project and I look forward to have a platform for discussions in LIA as well as time to read. In Leipzig the photography scene is rapidly growing and this makes it an interesting place to work. Within the city there are also still empty houses with traces of memories and stories attached to them and a particular light in them, I think it is almost impossible to find a more suitable setting for the project I am working on now. I look forward to a residency in Leipzig with its possibilities for discussions in an international environment, excursions, exhibitions and different projects to start and participate in.” (Nadja Bournonville)
