Areeba Afreen Qureshi(b.2001) is a New York based artist from Lahore, Pakistan. She earned her BFA from the National College of Arts, Lahore, in 2024 and is a graduating MFA candidate at the New York Academy of Art in the class of 2026. Her practice engages the body, space, and memory. She explores the ways in which memory and intimacy is held and translated across form, surface, and space. Qureshi has exhibited in Lahore at Muse Gallery, Ejaz Art Gallery, O Art Space, Pakistan Art Forum, and Kaleido Kontemporary. Her work has also been presented at Jutta Gallery, New York, as part of the New York Asian Arts Festival, the Cosmopolitan Club, and at the Take Home a Nude auction at Phillips. She took part in the Summer Undergraduate residency program at the New York Academy of Art in July 2023 and a residency at Muse Gallery in July 2024. Qureshi is a two-time recipient of the Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation Grant, and has also been awarded the Leslie T. and Francis Posey Scholarship, an Academy Scholarship, the Exhibitions Student Service Scholarship, and the LCU Women’s Housing Grant.
