Öner Taylan Öztürk (b. 1983) is a contemporary artist whose research-based practice investigates the ontology of the systems that organize life. He traces the structures and intermediate zones where technological, ecological, bureaucratic, and historical layers interact. By analyzing the transformations between nature, system, and machine, his works move beyond mere representation to uncover deep conceptual associations.
Öztürk’s conceptual framework is heavily informed by his multidisciplinary background. He initially completed a degree in Economics at Istanbul University and has years of professional experience working as a software developer. This structural and technical foundation parallels his formal art education, having earned a B.F.A. in Painting from Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University in 2015, which included an exchange semester at La Cambre Arts Visuels in Brussels. He has held solo exhibitions in Izmir and Ankara, and his work has been featured in international group exhibitions in Athens, Lisbon, Brussels, and Istanbul.
