OPEN STUDIOS

Saturday, 30th of April, 11am – 8pm
Sunday, 1st of May, 11am – 6pm

LIA International Art Programme is excited to announce its Open Studios event that will take place over two days.
After a three month period of residency, our artists will open their studios to the public and will present the work accomplished during their stay in LIA.
The event will take place on the 30th of April and the 1st of May 2022 in the frame of the famous and greatly participated Rundgang, in the Spinnerei.
Our founder and director, Anna Louise Rolland, will host a private guided tour of the event at 2pm on Saturday, going through the exhibition space and the studios presenting the works.

We warmly invite you to join our Open Studios event for an opportunity to meet our artists in residence!

African Leipzig is a project supported by the German Foreign Ministry in cooperation of The Center for the Less Good Idea, David Krut Projects, the Dresden States Art Collection and LIA-Leipzig International Art Programme and Atelier für Radierung Maria und Vlado Ondrej. The Centre for the Less Good Idea in Johannesburg and LIA-Leipzig International Art Programme and David Krut Projects invite artists working across all disciplines but particularly in the digital realm (video, performance, media art, sound art) to apply for participation in an international artist in residence programme (LIA) in Leipzig Germany. The residency involves attending an etching workshop and learning about the print-making process at Atelier für Radierung Maria und Vlado Ondrej.

SVA, School of Visual Arts New York City is honored to present Max Kornfield, a fellow selected to be part of LIA programme for a period of 6 months, who will be part of our Spring Gallery Tour and the summer exhibition later in July.
