Goethe-Institut Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Philippines, together with SAVVY Contemporary, TanzFaktur, and Leipzig International Art Programme are delighted to announce the REFLEKT residency platform!
REFLEKT encourages the residents to expand their research, develop a concept/prototype, build a project, or create artwork together with the hosting organisations and local communities during the two-month residency in Germany. Ideally, after completing the residency, the residents would continue their work and present them in their city of origin with the local Goethe-Institut as a host.
We welcome applications from mid-career artists, curators, or art practitioners from Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Philippines.
RESIDENCY DETAILS
The Goethe-Institut will cover the costs for airfare to Germany (return ticket in economy class), visa and travel expenses for a visa appointment, travel insurance, as well as accommodation during the residency. Artists will receive a lump-sum fee and daily allowance of € 2.000 for the whole residency and a subsidy for production/research.
APPLICATION
If this residency aligns with your interests and career trajectory, we invite you to complete the application form below in English.
Please note that students are not eligible to apply.
The application deadline is 31 July 2023. All applications will undergo evaluation by the respective hosts, independent juries, and the staff of the Goethe-Institut in their respective countries. Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an online interview to be conducted in August/September 2023.
