Last years report shows meaningful conversations in the arts and between cultures. Thanks to the German Federal Foreign Office, open subject based calls have brought writers, artists and thinkers to Leipzig sharing what is important to them in their home countries. Providing us controversy and different perspectives on things we might have known but they proof different.
Moving comfort zones enables our fellows and us to learn about each other in the residency as a temporary home. Sharing has been a major subject of our intercultural conversations, between the international residents, us and the city. Sharing also as part of an ongoing colonial discourse, we have been part of for many years now. Sharing as a way of healing.
We cordially thank BMW for their support from the start of the programme until 2024. They enabled us to work freely and develop the programme as it is today. Even though the cooperation had to come to an end, it will continue to bear fruits.
