Nolwazi Mbali Mahlangu is a context creator, poetic pedagogist, and perfecter of play.
She is a published performance poet, storyteller, writer, actor, creative research assistant, slam judge, applied drama and theatre facilitator, playback theatre practitioner, voice-over artist, art administrator, stage manager, poetic inquirer, and theatre photographer.
Her work is published in the Sol Plaatje European Union Poetry Anthology
Volumes X and XI, Poetry Potion, LitNet, and New Contrast Magazine.
Currently her practice interrogates migration in its multiple registers:
the migration of people, yes, but also of language, faith, and memory.

I come carrying home and the prayers of the archive, seeking to understand how faith itself migrates—reshaped, translated, sometimes wounded—in its encounter with new lands and old empires. I hope to listen deeply in the spaces where devotion and displacement meet, and to let those echoes reconfigure my art.”
