SELF COLONIZATION
Self-colonization: a series of readings by Katia Badianova and Lada Nakonechna at Museum der bildenden Künste Leipzig / MdbK
In these series called “Behind the Text: self-colonization”, the colonial relationship of Ukraine will be put in focus through excerpts taken from M. Khvileva “Ukraine or Malorossia?” and reflecting on Babi Yar, the atrocious event that in 1941, saw more than 34,000 Jews executed by Nazis and Ukranian collaborators in a Kiev ravine.
The readings and discussions are held by Katia Badianova who is an art historian and a member of a curatorial collective Khudrada and a co-founder of a
Method Fund in Kyiv and Lada Nakonechna, an artist, a member of a R.E.P.
collective, a member of a curatorial collective Khudrada and co-founder of a Method Fund in Kyiv.
