Michelle Palatnik is a New York-based painter who received her MFA from the New York Academy of Art. Her work explores psychological interiors, isolation, intimacy, and the charged space between presence and withdrawal. Rooted in observational painting, tonal abstraction, and the emotional architecture of light, her practice investigates how atmosphere, space, and compressed form can hold states of uncertainty, memory, and psychic tension. Palatnik is interested in painting as a way to make visible the quiet, unstable, and often unspoken conditions of human feeling.
