Always together – mostly happy is an exhibition that took place 8th of Augsut until the 15th of August at the Aarhus Art Museum and will open on 18th September in Hamburg’s Gängeviertel on the 18th of September. This exhibition brings together 18 German and Danish artists in dialogue about language, cultural identity and communication.
Part of the exhibition consists of graphic works by Nordic fellows who participated in the Nordic-Leipzig residency programme at the Leipzig International Art Programme (LIA) supported by the Goethe-Institut Dänemark 2018/2019. The exhibtion is part of the German-Danish Cultural Year of Friendship 2020.
The Nordic Leipzig artists are: Vibeke Frost Andersen, Maja Gade Christensen, Michelle Eistrup, Tuukka Haapakorpi, Gunnhildur Hauksdóttir, Conny Karlsson Lundgren, Tanja Koljonen, Elisabeth Moritz, Bjargey Ólafsdóttir, Martin Stråhle and Anna Taina-Nielsen. Nordic-Leipzig was conceived and supported by the Goethe-Institut Denmark.
