Meine Arbeit ist nicht auf ein einzelnes Medium beschränkt, da jedes meiner Konzepte ein anderes Werkzeug erfordert: Fotografie, Film, Klangkunst, Performance, Zeichnung oder Text. Meine Arbeiten erzählen oft von der Natur, sind gleichzeitig inspiriert durch Popkultur und Erinnerung. Sie sind poetisch, aber humorvoll und spielerisch. Sie beschäftigen sich mit menschlichen Beziehungen und erzählen beispielsweise: Geschichten von gelangweilten Zahnärzten, Rockstars in Japan und Frauen, die in die Zukunft und darüber hinaus blicken können. Spiel, Experimentieren und Zufall innerhalb einer Reihe von Regeln, die von Neugier angetrieben werden, sind ein wesentlicher Teil meiner Praxis.
Im Moment beende ich ein neues Filmprojekt. Deshalb plane ich während meines Aufenthaltes in Leipzig eine neue Arbeit zu beginnen. Ich habe vor kurzem damit begonnen, mehr Farbe in meine Zeichnungen aufzunehmen und vielseitigere Oberflächen, wie zum Beispiel Holz, zu verwenden. Ich möchte mich darauf konzentrieren, meine Zeichnungen als Hauptwerk meiner Arbeit zu entwickeln und mit Farbe zu experimentieren. Aber ich denke, es ist wichtig, für Inspiration offen zu sein und mit im Fluss zu sein. Vielleicht werde ich auf etwas stoßen, das zu neuen Arbeiten in Fotografie und Film inspiriert. Ich habe Leipzig bereits zweimal besucht und bin fasziniert von der Stadt. Ich denke, dass die LIA-Residenz in Leipzig ein idealer Ort für neue Arbeiten ist.
