“Nordic-Leipzig” Stipendiat des Goethe-Instituts
Conny Karlsson Lundgren (* Västervik, Schweden) ist ein bildender Künstler, der derzeit in Stockholm lebt. Er ist fasziniert von kurzlebigen, scheinbar temporären Spuren und Momenten, die zusammen einen größeren Kontext bilden. Karlsson Lundgren hat ein MFA in Fine Arts von der Valand Academy in Göteborg SE. 2013 nahm er an der IASPIS Studio Residency teil Programm in Stockholm und im Zeitraum 2014—2015 war er im Van Eyck Post Academic Studio Research Program in Maastricht NL eingeschrieben. In den letzten Jahren wurde seine Arbeit in verschiedenen Kontexten gezeigt, wie z.B. im Moderna Museet Malmö, in der Extra City Kunsthal Antwerpen, im Kunstmuseum Göteborg, in der Kunsthalle Nikolaj Copenhagen und im TriBeCA Film Center NYC. Vor kurzem hatte er Einzelausstellungen bei Haninge Konsthall, Gallery Box Gothenburg und im Kalmar Art Museum.

Kollektive Projekte / Zusammenarbeit
2005—2008 The Production Unit: a collective of artists engaged in a discussion on the intersection of politics and aesthetics. The collective arranged events such as Slowly learning to Survive the Desire to Simplify —a symposium on Critical Documents, 2006 (supported by NIFCA & IASPIS), exhibitions such as The Long Distance Runner at Den Frie Udstillingsbygning, Copenhagen, 2007 and the performative reading group Toward evening Brecht found me in the garden reading Capital, as part of the 5th Berlin Biennale, 2008.

2014—2015 Knowledge is a Does: An intimate theory based reading group interested in the formation and perpetuation of the subjectivity of communities and individuals. The collective embraced knowledge as material, considering its dissemination, movement, points of connection and network potential.
During 2015 a series of events, Disassemblies (1–6) was arranged in different places in
the Netherlands.
