Martin Stråhle aus Schweden lebt in Bergen, Norwegen, und beschäftigt sich hauptsächlich mit Malerei sowie dem Verhältnis zwischen Gemälden und anderen Medien, wie beispielsweise Textilien, Skulpturen und Performance.
In letzter Zeit hat er mit Malerei eher auf performative und physische Art gearbeitet. Stråhle hat einen Masterabschluss von der Kunst- und Designhochschule Bergen.
Er ist mit seinem Atelier in die Berge und Wälder gezogen, die Bergen umgeben. Dort hat er das Gefühl, seinen Materialien in seinem Malprozess näher zu kommen.
Martin Stråhle bringt seine Werke aus dem Wald mit nach Leipzig, um seine Freilichtmalerei mit den Möglichkeiten in seinem neuen Atelier zu verbinden.
